Join the VASCERN Coordination Team as a Science and Training Project Officer

Science & Training Officer

VASCERN is looking to expand its coordination team by hiring a Science and Training Project Officer. Our network is committed to improving the health and quality of life for the 30 million people affected by rare diseases across the European Union. Through collaboration and innovation, our network connects leading European experts to address the complex challenges associated with rare diseases, including diagnostic delays, limited expertise, and fragmented care.

About the Role:

The Science and Training Project Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the operational, developmental, and strategic activities of VASCERN. Working directly under the network’s coordinator, and in collaboration with our network members, the successful candidate will drive forward our training and educational initiatives, helping to shape the future of rare disease management in Europe.

Key responsibilities include developing training programs, managing our learning platforms, and participating in European-level research and event planning.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A PhD in a scientific discipline such as health sciences, statistics, public health, or biology.
  • Experience or training in European scientific projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and scientific writing.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of working in a multidisciplinary team.

Location: The position is based at the Hôpital Bichat-Claude Bernard in Paris, France.
