We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the application phase for the inaugural VASCERN Summer School. The summer school is aimed at fostering a deep understanding and commitment to rare vascular diseases among Europe’s next generation of medical professionals.

The VASCERN Summer School stands out with its innovative hybrid format, combining online classes from February to May 2024 and an immersive on-site experience in Paris from 23 to 28 September 2024. The program’s partial funding by ERASMUS+ underscores its significance and the high-quality education it promises to deliver. You can learn more about the summer school here.

The call for applications officially closed on 26 November, and we were delighted to receive 260 applications. After a selection process, 56 applicants were chosen to embark on this educational journey. The selected cohort includes 35 students and 21 interns coming from 24 different countries. This diversity underscores the wide interest in rare vascular diseases across Europe. The selected candidates represent the future of rare vascular disease treatment and research.

As of February 9th, 2024, we have officially launched the online session of our summer school. The enthusiasm and eagerness to delve into the curriculum were palpable, marking a promising start to what promises to be a transformative educational experience.
