Print Edition
The VASCA Magazine is a patient advocates’ publication produced in partnership between the Vascular Anomalies (VASCA) Working Group’s patient organisations and VASCERN clinicians. Written for patients, caregivers, and non-specialist healthcare professionals, each edition brings together scientific articles written in plain language, patient testimonials, updates from the VASCA Working Group, and news from the wider VASCERN network.
The magazine is produced as a digital PDF edition and distributed in print in several European countries. It is a flagship example of clinician–patient collaboration within VASCERN.
The second edition covers the progression of vascular malformations, complex lymphatic anomalies, arteriovenous malformations, port wine stains and Sturge-Weber syndrome, and the latest advances in sirolimus research. It also introduces two new patient organisations joining the VASCA team — AVMinority (Czech Republic) and andLINFA (Portugal) — and includes patient testimonials from across Europe.
