Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s and Don’ts factsheets are practical guides for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Each factsheet covers a specific clinical situation — such as surgery, anaesthesia, delivery, or managing an emergency — and sets out the key recommendations experts agree on for patients with that particular vascular anomaly.
These guides are developed through expert consensus within the VASCA Working Group. They are intended as a reference to support decision-making, not as a substitute for personalised medical advice. Management should always be tailored to the individual in consultation with a specialist.
Currently one VASCA-specific Do’s and Don’ts factsheet is available, covering severe and rare infantile haemangiomas. Further factsheets are in development.
