Coordination Project Team

The Coordination Project Team is the engine behind VASCERN, ensuring smooth operations across our network. This dedicated group of professionals collaborates with healthcare experts, patient advocates, and researchers to connect resources, foster innovation, and improve care for rare vascular diseases. Their work ensures that VASCERN remains a leading European Reference Network (ERN) dedicated to rare vascular diseases.

What we do

The Coordination Team supports VASCERN’s mission through:

  • Connecting Experts: We bring together healthcare providers, researchers, and patient advocates from across Europe to collaborate and share knowledge.
  • Managing Resources: From multilingual clinical guidelines to patient-friendly care pathways, we develop tools that make a difference in care.
  • Driving Innovation: We coordinate research projects, registries, and training programs that advance the understanding of rare vascular diseases.
  • Raising Awareness: Through newsletters, social media, and events, we ensure VASCERN’s work reaches healthcare professionals and patients alike.

How we work together

We’re not just a team; we’re a bridge connecting patients, healthcare professionals, and researchers. Here’s how we work:

  1. With Healthcare Professionals: We organize meetings, provide tools, and coordinate efforts for Rare Disease Working Groups (RDWGs) and transversal groups.
  2. With Patient Advocates: We work closely with ePAG representatives to ensure that patient voices guide our projects, from care pathways to research initiatives.
  3. With Researchers: We facilitate collaboration across Europe, supporting registries, clinical studies, and innovative research.
  4. With Partners: We strengthen relationships with hospitals, organizations, and the European Reference Network to expand VASCERN’s impact.
