New Nature Reviews Disease Primer on Marfan syndrome by HTAD WG now online!

A new comprehensive review paper on Marfan Syndrome has just been published in Nature Reviews Disease Primers and is co-authored by our very own Professor Julie De Backer, Professor Guillaume Jondeau, Professor Catherine Boileau, Professor Arturo Evangelista and the Heritable Thoracic Aortic Working Group (HTAD WG) of VASCERN!

Nature Reviews Disease Primers provide a global overview of a disease. This latest Primer article on Marfan syndrome gives a complete summary of this rare vascular disease and is broken down into sections that cover epidemiology; disease mechanisms/pathophysiology; diagnosis, screening and prevention; management/treatment; quality of life and outlook. It also includes a list of differential diagnoses, two “living with Marfan syndrome” testimonials from patients and an up-to-date list of randomized clinical trials using angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) in patients with Marfan syndrome. Each Primer is also accompanied by a “Prime View” illustration graphic, which presents the main points of the review, and the Marfan syndrome graphic can be downloaded here.
