The 3rd edition of the International Children’s Camp will take place in France from 3 to 7 July 2024. This year, the beautiful Ardèche region will host this important event dedicated to children and adolescents with primary lymphedema and their families.
The camp, which is expected to welcome around 200 participants from different countries, is not just a retreat, but a vital platform for sharing experiences, building community and accessing essential support. The presence of healthcare professionals and volunteers will ensure that families receive not only emotional but also informative support to help them overcome the challenges of primary lymphoedema.
The agenda is packed with patient meetings, therapeutic educational workshops, fun activities and sports to enrich both mind and body. These activities aim to create a supportive environment where patients and their families can find comfort, understanding and new ways to cope with their condition.
The camp is organised in collaboration with a network of committed partners, including the CHU Montpellier Primary Lymphedema Reference Centre, the Hospital Cognacq-Jay, the French Lymphedema Partnership (PFL), the International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF), the Italian Lymphedema Framework (ITALF), the Primary Lymphedema Reference Center of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta (CMID), the patient associations AVML and Lymphido, and many others. This collective effort demonstrates the commitment of the various stakeholders to support the lymphedema community and improve the quality of life of those affected.
