Revision of Rare Vascular Tumors in the Orphanet Database
An interview with the Chair of the ERN Coordinators, Dr Franz Schaefer (from Heidelberg University), appears in this month’s Health-EU newsletter!
In this article Dr Schaefer describes how the ERNs currently work and how involvement from local, regional and national healthcare providers, with the help of patient organisations, is so important in order for all rare disease patients in Europe to benefit from ERN expertise, in particular those that live in economically challenged or isolated areas.
He also briefly touches on ERN successes to date and the challenges ahead, which will be discussed in depth at the upcoming 4th Conference on European Reference Networks: “ERNs in action”, from November 21st-22nd, 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
