The EURORDIS Open Academy Schools are back for 2024! This year, the in-person sessions will take place in the captivating city of Barcelona from June 3 to June 7.
The Open Academy School on Medicines Research & Development (formerly EURORDIS Summer School) and the Open Academy School on Scientific Innovation & Translational Research (formerly EURORDIS Winter School) will run concurrently, offering parallel sessions tailored to each school’s specific focus. Additionally, joint sessions emphasizing patient engagement and leadership will provide valuable insights for all attendees.

Throughout the week, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in knowledge-sharing and network with a diverse group of peers. The program is designed to foster connections and offer insights that extend beyond the training. Off-site visits to research facilities and hospitals, substantial contact time with faculty and EURORDIS staff, and interactions with fellow patient advocates and researchers will enrich your learning experience.
The Open Academy Schools use a blended learning approach, combining e-learning modules, pre-training webinars, and intensive face-to-face days. The curriculum will be delivered in English.
