The VASCERN European Patient Advocacy Group (ePAG) recently concluded its Co-Chair elections, marking a significant step forward in fostering patient-centric care and support for those living with rare vascular diseases. We are thrilled to introduce the passionate patient representatives who will be leading the charge in their respective working groups.
The newly elected Co-Chairs are:
⦿ Paolo Federici – Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Working Group
⦿ Carmen Quirós Paz – Heritable Thoracic Aortic Diseases (HTAD) Working Group
⦿ Eva Collado – Medium-Sized Arteries (MSA) Working Group
⦿ Manuela Lourenço Marques – Pediatric and Primary Lymphedema (PPL) Working Group
⦿ Maria Barea – Vascular Anomalies (VASCA) Working Group
These newly elected Co-Chairs will work collaboratively with medical professionals in VASCERN, fostering a patient-centered approach to research, diagnosis, and treatment of rare vascular diseases. Together, they will strengthen the voice of patients within VASCERN and promote a more inclusive and supportive environment for those living with rare vascular diseases. They will also play a pivotal role in shaping VASCERN’s future initiatives, ensuring that the patient perspective remains at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
